Abstract

In a lift powered by a combustion engine having a lift cage and a driving means which is moved with the lift and control means (35, 37, 39, 41) arranged in the lift cage to control the throttle of the combustion engine (15) and to operate a brake which is applied in an inoperative state to prevent movement of the lift cage, there is a centrifugal clutch (17), which is arranged after the combustion engine (15) and which couples the engine (15) to the drive chain at a determined speed of the engine, the coupling speed. A throttle control (39) is connected to a disc cam having a cam surface, which via a cam follower influences the operating means of the brake (33) to move in a releasing direction when increasing the speed of the engine such that when the coupling speed of the centrifugal clutch (17) has been obtained, the brake (33) is completely released and allows the lift cage to move along the drive track.
