PATENTS ACT 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION NAME OF APPLICANT(S): Bebecar-Utilidades Para Crianca, LDA.
ADDRESS FOR SERVICE: DAVIES COLLISON CAVE Patent Attorneys 1 Little Collins Street, Melbourne, 3000.
INVENTION TITLE: Interconnected rotary system with built-in suspension for baby prams The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me/us:- The present Patent refers to an interconnected rotary system with built-in suspension for baby prams.
.:Several rotary wheel systems with suspension are already known, with the normal o use of four front wheels, two on each block to maintain balance and operating as a rotary wheel and completely independent.
Also, rotary systems exist with a single rotary type wheel, but also completely independent.
The present Patent provides the use of only two wheels with interconnected steering.
This new system will allow the use of larger size wheels, increasing the baby and user's comfort, since handling of the seat becomes easier.
The wheels are fixed to the front legs of the chassis and are fastened on blocks.
The blocks fit in the parts serving as the chassis bracing, said blocks being interconnected by a rod with two rotary points, making the two front wheels to become interlocked.
0 The present Patent is illustrated by a set of drawings which make part of the present specification and which with illustrative and non-limiting character show a preferred embodiment, where: ooo :i FIG. 1- shows a schematic side view of a baby's seat with the system o according to the present Patent.
oooFIG. 2 shows a schematic detailed view of the rotary system according to the present Patent.
FIG. 3 shows a detailed view of a wheel support block.
FIG. 4 shows a schematic view with details of the optional wheel blocking system.
FIG. 1 shows a baby pram where forms the pram handle, the support and articulation of the front and rear legs, the front leg of the chassis and a wheel of larger size than those used until now.
FIG. 2 schematically shows the interconnected rotary system according to the Patent, in which the front legs of the chassis support on the suspension blocks of the wheels On are also supported the connection parts in which the bracing bar of S"the chassis is fitted.
On the suspension blocks there are the rotary points which serve as a support to the rod providing the interlocking interconnection of the wheels FIG. 3 shows a section of a suspension block with a suspension spring FIG. 4 shows a section of the front leg of the chassis inside of which a tie may operate in to make the wheel to be blocked through the sliding device with a spring(6).
The operation of this blocking system may be carried out manually.
Throughout this specification and the claims which follow, unless the context requires otherwise, the word "comprise", and variations such as "comprises" and "comprising", will be understood to imply the inclusion of a stated integer or step or group of integers or steps but not the exclusion of any other integer or step or group of integers or steps.
The reference to any prior art in this specification is not, and should not be taken as, an acknowledgement or any form of suggestion that that prior art forms part of the common general knowledge in Australia.
The reference numerals in the following claims do not in any way limit the scope of the respective claims.

S2. INTERCONNECTED ROTARY SYSTEM WITH BUILT-IN SUSPENSION FOR BABY PRAMS, according to claim 1, characterized in that it has the possibility of being blocked manually or by means of a tie inside the front leg of the chassis through a sliding spring device which acts on the wheel rim a
3. Interconnected rotary system substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the drawings.
4. A baby pram including an interconnected rotary system according to any one of the preceding claims. The steps, features, compositions and compounds disclosed herein or referred to or indicated in the specification and/or claims of this application, individually or collectively, and any and all combinations of any two or more of said steps or features. •DATED this TWELFTH day of APRIL 2001 Bebecar-Utilidades Para Crianca, LDA. by DAVIES COLLISON CAVE Patent Attorneys for the applicant(s) 9
