Abstract

The invention relates to a device for providing a sealing covering for a train of pipes and/or ducts (3) in a wall and/or ceiling or floor opening (1) of a building. Said covering consists of a protective cover (5) encasing the train of pipes and/or ducts (3) which cover is heat-resistance and smoke-tight in the case of a fire. The aim of the invention is to provide such a device that achieves at least fire rating F 90 while being at the same time of simple constructive design and being characterized in that it can be produced and assembled at a minimum of costs. To this end, the protective cover (5) is configured as a mineral fiber pipe shell. Said pipe shell is axially and radially flexible. The wall and/or the ceiling or floor opening (1) is filled with a bulkhead (4) adjacent to the shell surface of the protective cover (5).
