Embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to Figure 1, a block diagram of an anti-dipsomaniac vehicle system is illustrated in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. The system 100 includes an alcohol sensor 102 installed inside a vehicle for detecting drivers breathe to identify that a driver is drunk or not.
In an embodiment, a control unit 104 is coupled to the alcohol sensor 102 for alarming a buzzer upon detection of alcohol consumption.
In an embodiment, an ignition controller 106 is configured with the control unit 104 for slowing down and thereby stopping the vehicle even if driver does not stops the vehicle upon alarm indication.
In an embodiment, a GSM module 108 is interfaced to the control unit 104 is configured for detecting vehicle location using GPS 110 thereby sending a message to the ICE (In case of emergency) numbers.
In an embodiment, one or more alcohol sensors 102 are positioned in an angle to detect the drivers breathe due to which we can identify the driver is drunk or not.
In an embodiment, first and foremost thing after detecting alcohol consumption is to either stop the driver from starting vehicle in case, the driver is drunk before going for a drive.
In an embodiment, if in case the driver is consuming alcohol while driving halfway then the buzzer act as a hazard indicator which blinks faster and produces an alarm to stop the car.
In an embodiment, a back indicator is activated in case of highly traffic area during emergency parking to avoid the fatal accidents.
In an embodiment, a comparator is interfaced with the alcohol sensor 102 and control unit 104 to compare alcohol level consumption.
In an embodiment, an LCD is connected with the control unit 104 for displaying alcohol consumption level and alter notifications.
Figure 2 illustrates a schematic diagram of an anti-dipsomaniac vehicle system in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. The alcohol sensors 102 are installed in an angle to detect the driver's breathe due to which we can identify the driver is drunk or not. The sensor 102 detects alcohol consumption level and sends the Data/Signal to the microcontroller and further gives efficient outputs.
First and foremost thing after detecting that the driver has consumed alcohol is to either stop him from starting car in case he/she is drunk before going for a drive. If in case he/she is consuming alcohol while driving halfway then the buzzer used in the model will act as an hazard indicator which blinks faster and produces an alarm to stop the car. If the car is not stopping after the alarm then, the speed will be controlled and slowed down which will further turns the ignition down
If it is highly traffic area, the indicator should show some indications to the vehicles behind this car to avoid the fatal accidents. The GSM module 108 that is attached to the device will detect the person's location using GPS 110 and sends the message to the ICE (In case of emergency) numbers which has more working advantages even with a bit of signal to a 2G phone.
The system slows down and stops the vehicle instead of locking the vehicle engine system when it detects the that driver Blood Alcoholic Level [BAC] exceeds the limit while the vehicle is not stationary i.e. moving which leads the vehicle to lose control or stopping abruptly, we instead designed in such a way that the vehicle slows down and driver will have control of the vehicle, so the driver can park his vehicle at the emergency lane of the highway / freeway. The system includes indicator lights (warning lights) that is turned on the vehicle after the BAC level of the driver of the vehicle exceeds the limit, this acts as a warning to other surrounding vehicles nearby and helps to prevent any collisions.
It can be used for Drunk and drive prevention technology for 4 wheelers. Alcohol detection system in cars provides an automatic safety system for cars and others vehicles about the alcohol consumption.
The system facilitates controlling of the vehicle speed, which is only interfered when the driver has been detected to be alcoholic is determined to be unsafe for driving the vehicle, at that point of time the vehicle speed is interfered by slow down it gradually and bringing the vehicle to abrupt stop
. The drawings and the forgoing description give examples of embodiments. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that one or more of the described elements may well be combined into a single functional element. Alternatively, certain elements may be split into multiple functional elements. Elements from one embodiment may be added to another embodiment. For example, orders of processes described herein may be changed and are not limited to the manner described herein. Moreover, the actions of any flow diagram need not be implemented in the order shown; nor do all of the acts necessarily need to be performed. Also, those acts that are not dependent on other acts may be performed in parallel with the other acts. The scope of embodiments is by no means limited by these specific examples.
