Abstract
The newness and distinctiveness of the design resides in a) The shallowness of the growing tray so that the surface area is of much greater proportional ratio to that of the depth of the tray. The trays are filled with media then seeded or propagated with low growing plants. As the plants grow the roots bind the media together so that the Plant Tiles can be removed from the tray then laid on the prepared area;b) The tray is supported by small specially shaped hollow legs allowing the trays to be stacked closely one on top of the other for storage but alternate turning of the trays ensures a supported space between the trays thus allowing the trays to be stacked so that the tray above does not impede on the plants below thus allowing for safe transportation of the plants; c) The tray has multiple holes in the base to maximise air pruning of the roots of the plants. This means the roots are ready to start growing as soon as they are in contact with media/soil and watered in.
