Description

WATER JET DEVICE BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 2017100143 06 Feb 2017 1. Field of the Invention
The present disclosure generally relates to water jet device technologies, and more particularly, to a water jet device capable of providing a water particle spray for massage. 2. Description of Related Art
Only one pattern of water is sprayed by conventional water jet devices. Water jet devices capable of spraying different patterns of water are devised. For example, Chinese patent publication 103028499B entitled “water jet device having a reciprocating mechanism” provides an increased massage effect.
However, a water jet device disclosed in the publication presents a complicated mechanism involving many components, such as gear assemblies and helical worms, et al. Due to a confined space of the water jet device, it’s difficult to assemble the complicated mechanism into the confined space, and this may increase the cost of assembly.
Furthermore, the water jet device may suffer from failure during use. Because the accumulated scale forming after being used for a period of time may affect the components, and make it impossible to realize a discretionary functions switching.
Moreover, its weight is increased greatly due to the excessive number of components. 20 Water flow additionally adds to the weight in showering operation. Thus, the product manufactured based on the publication does not enjoy market success. Further, spray pattern is changed by means of a reciprocating mechanism so as to bring out a massaging effect to an individual taking a shower. This cannot satisfy ordinary users who desire a water jet device capable of providing a water particle spray under one pattern 25 with better massaging effects.
Therefore, it is desirable to provide an improved water jet device which addresses the above described problems. 1

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings and embodiments thereof.
Referring to Figures 1 to 6, a water jet device in accordance with the invention includes a base 1, a cover 2, a separating member 3, an impeller 4, two rotating members 5, a gear assembly 6 and a track assembly 7.
The base 1 provides two outlets 10, the cover 2 provides an inlet 20. In the present embodiment, the cover 2 is connected to the base 1.
The separating member 3 is disposed between the base 1 and the cover 2. The separating member 3 includes a central space 31 and an annular space 32. The central space 31 receives the impeller 4, the annular space 32 has an annular structure and communicates with the inlet 20. Furthermore, at least one water ejection port 33 is disposed between and communicates with the central space 31 and the annular space 32.
The rotating members 5 are respectively disposed in the outlets 10, and each rotating member 5 includes a plurality of curved grooves 50 on an outer surface. In the present embodiment, each rotating member 5 is rotatablely received in one of the outlets 10.
The gear assembly 6 includes a drive gear 61 and two spaced idler gears 62. The drive gear 61 is secured to a center part of an underside of the impeller 4. Alternatively, 20 the drive gear 61 and the impeller 4 may be formed integrally.
The idler gears 62 are meshed with and driven by the drive gear 61 to rotate. Furthermore, the idler gears 62 are connected to the rotating members 5, and configured to rotate the rotating members 5. In the present embodiment, the two idler gears 62 have different number of teeth, so as to change the water jet speed and increase the 25 massaging effect.
In addition, the gear assembly 6 may include at least two sets of idler gears 62, and each set includes at least one idler gear 62 meshed with the drive gear 61. Furthermore, 4 at least one of idler gears 62 has different number of teeth from that of the remaining idler gears 62. 2017100143 06 Feb 2017
In the present embodiment, the gear assembly 6 is disposed between the rotating members 5 and the impeller 4. Water flowing through the water ejection port 33 rotates the impeller 4, and the impeller 4 drives the gear assembly 6 to rotate the rotating members 5. At last, the water spraying from the curved grooves 50 of the rotating members 5 forms annular patterns of water.
The track assembly 7 includes a discontinuous rail 71 and two opposite sliders 72. The discontinuous rail 71 has ascending and descending sections, and is formed on a bottom of the base 1. The sliders 72 are formed on an underside of the idler gears 62, and configured to move along the discontinuous rail 71 of the same set.
Alternatively, in another embodiment, the water jet device may include more than two rotating members 5. Accordingly, the base 1 provides more than two outlets 10, and each rotating member 5 is received in one of the outlets 10; the gear assembly 6 includes more than two idler gears 62, and each idler gear 62 is connected to one of the rotating members 5.
Operation of the invention is described in detail below.
Water flows to the water ejection port 33 via the inlet 20 and the annular space 32. The flow increases its speed when leaving the water ejection port 33. The strong flow 20 spraying from the water ejection port 33 rotates the impeller 4 in turn, the drive gear 61 rotates. The idler gears 62 are driven by the drive gear 61 and in turn, the rotating members 5 rotate, thus water particles in annular pattern are formed before leaving the outlets 10. Meanwhile, since the idler gears 62 and the rotating members 5 are releasably connected, while the idler gears 62 are descending and ascending along with the 25 movement of the track assembly 7, the rotating members 5 are rotating. The descending and ascending of the idler gears 62 changes the flow rate of the water, thus forming intermittent water particles. 5
It is envisaged by the invention that both pressure of the flow and flow rate thereof are continuously changed as the sliders 72 slide on the ascending and descending sections of the discontinuous rail 71. As a result, spraying water at various angles is made possible. 2017100143 06 Feb 2017
The invention has the following characteristics and advantages:
Construction is simple. The number of component is decreased greatly. Wide applications. In response to rotating the impeller 4, the rotating members 5 rotate. Both pressure of the flow and flow rate thereof are continuously changed as the sliders 72 slide on the ascending and descending sections of the discontinuous rail 71. As a result, spraying water at various angles is made possible in which spray particles are smaller as the idler gears 62 descend and to the contrary spray particles are larger as the idler gears 62 ascend.
Further, spraying water at various angles is made possible by altering teeth numbers of the idler gears 62. An individual taking a shower by using the shower head can feel a greater degree of comfort. The improved gear assembly decreases the rotational speed, thus visualizes the water pattern and increases the massaging effect. Furthermore, a configuration that the drive gear 61 drives a plurality of idler gears 62 makes the water jet device possess a more compact and practical construction.
The drive gear 61 can drive a plurality of the idler gears 62, and at least one of the 20 idler gears may have different number of teeth from that of the remaining idler gears 62. Thus, different water jet speed is carried out so as to bring different massaging effects to users.
The sliders 72 slide on the ascending and descending sections of the discontinuous rail 71. As a result, the sliders 72 move in an undulate way, and water flowing through the 25 idler gears 62 fluctuates, thus forming intermittent water particles spraying out of the curved grooves 50. The track assembly 7 has a simple structure and is easy to install. While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiment, those 6 skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. 2017100143 06 Feb 2017 7
