Abstract

In a vineyard situation, row width is varying from 2.5 m to 3.5m or even beyond these limits. So it is important to have a mechanism to adjust row with as well as once the arms contracted, any sprayer (either weedicide or foliar chemical) should be able to travel with a single row to minimize mechanical damage to spryer. At the moment there are several mechanisms in use and most of them equipped with expensive hydraulic supported system to move and lift the spray arms. The innovation in this application does not required additional powerhouse apart from the spray arms contraction and expansion mechanism. The key issues of existing technology are hydraulic aided mechanisms required expensive hydraulic system and most of the time it need to connect with tractor to get hydraulic power and due to high pressure hydraulic connections, it needs frequent maintenance to keep the system healthy. Apart from that multi-row sprayers with no complete contraction of arms, can't be travel within a single row space. As a solution to the present issues, Spray width Control Mechanism for Multi-Row Vineyard Sprayer will provide sustainable solution to reduce the total width of the sprayer so that it can travel within a single row space in idle situation such as coming back to refill the tanks. And also this innovation does not need additional power source to change the row with and arm resting position to provide minimum width to the sprayer. Key advantages of the innovation are low cost and the user doesn't want to concern about daily maintenance. Due to reduction of the total width of the sprayer, it can travel within a single row space in idle situation which will save the time of the operator. Figure 1. Description

SPRAY WIDTH CONTROL MECHANISM FOR MULTI-ROW VINEYARD SPRAYER BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0001] In a vineyard situation, row width is varying from 2.5 m to 3.5m or even beyond these limits. [0002] It is important to have a mechanism to adjust row with as well as once the arms contracted, any sprayer (either weedicide or foliar chemical) should be able to travel with a single row to minimize mechanical damage to spryer. [0003] At the moment there are several mechanisms in use and most of them equipped with expensive hydraulic supported system to move and lift the spray arms. Claims (2)

1. Spray width Control Mechanism for Multi-Row Vineyard Sprayer consists of driving rails which provide a flat form for horizontal movements via socket connected to variable arm control bars which consists of two bars with lock nut which is providing opportunity to change the total lengths of arm-length control bar.
2. Variable arm control bars according to claim 1 wherein said one end connected with boll joint to a movable vertical nozzle holding bar which is sliding through spray arm and the other end connected to fixed rail with another boll joint with lock nut to rail socket that can change and keep in required position along the rail.
