Description

Editorial Note 2015100560 The description is numbered from 1-2, page 3 is the claims and page 4 is the drawings. Page 5 has been added to the end of the description.
1 Ironing Paddle Device Field of Invention {0001 }This new invention is designed to assist with the problem of ironing tubular and awkward garments and other Textile items with this padded paddle style device. Ironing Paddle Device {0002}This is an Ironing paddle device, designed to insert into hard to iron garment parts e.g. sleeves, trouser legs, Cuffs and other hard to iron garments and textile articles, to be used in conjunction with a wrinkle removing apparatus such as a steamer or an iron. {0003}lt consists of an inflexible paddle style core and handle. The paddle part of the device could be rectangular, rounded or tapered. It can be made of light weight wood, resin, or metal. The outer layers of the Paddle part excluding the handle would be covered with foam rubber then heat resistant padding of various types, and then covered with a heat resistant outer fabric. The outer heat proof padding and fabric part could be a removable, replaceable, washable cover that is fastened with a drawstring or valcrose at the neck of the handle. The Ironing Paddle device could also be made as an all in one item with no removable parts. The Ironing Paddle device can be made in a number of widths and lengths & shapes e.g. tapered, rounded or squared depending on the garment it is intended for. The ironing paddle device is double sided to enable the user to flip or rotate it with the garment still on the paddle. The Ironing device also has a strap or tie attached to the end of the handle for easy storage.eg hang on door handle or hook. Not only is it easy to store but can also be an attractive laundry essential.
2 Method {0004} The Ironing Paddle Device allows the user to hold the handle (2) with one hand and then insert the insertion point (1) with no restrictions on how far it can be inserted into intended garment which will be held with the other hand. When inserted the padded paddle like part (3,4) would be placed on a flat surface such as an ironing board or other surface and then the wrinkles would be removed with an iron or a steaming device while the handle (2) would not need to be held until the Ironing Paddle device needed to be repositioned. While holding the handle (2) you may then turn the Ironing paddle device over 180 % with the garment still in place to enable the wrinkles to be removed on (5) the opposite side of the Garment with the use of an Iron or steaming device on the ironing board or flat surface. When the user has removed the wrinkles from both sides of the intended garment they can then reposition the device inside the garment to do the other areas that need ironed e.g. the edges by repeating the above procedures thus avoiding having a crease in the garment if so desired.
