Abstract

The invention concerns a tamping machine (1) comprising a machine frame (2) and a unit frame (11) which is disposed between rail bogies (3), can travel on the track by way of a bogie (14) and is connected in longitudinally displaceable manner to the machine frame (2) by means of a frame support (17). Disposed between the bogie (14) and frame support (17) are a vertically adjustable tamping unit (19) and a track lifter unit (20). The frame support (17) is connected to the machine frame (2) such that the frame support can pivot about a support shaft (28) extending in the longitudinal direction (12) of the machine frame.

Description

1 1308 Tamping machine with rotatably mounted working frame [01] The invention relates to a tamping machine for tamping sleepers of a track, including a machine frame, supported on two on-track undercarriages and extending in a longitudinal direction of the machine, and an assembly frame arranged between the on-track undercarriages which is mobile on the track via an undercarriage and connected to the machine frame for longitudinal displacement via a frame support and has - between the undercarriage and the frame support - a vertically adjustable tamping unit as well as a track lifting unit. [02] A tamping machine of this type is known, for example, from US 6 705 232, the machine moving continuously during working operations. In this, the particular advantage lies in the fact that the machine frame, having a significantly greater mass, does not have to be stopped at each sleeper to be tamped and then immediately accelerated again. The step-by-step advance is limited to the assembly frame carrying the working units, which is connected for transverse displacement to the machine frame and designed to be displaceable relative to the same. [03] It is the object of the present invention to provide a machine of the specified type with which excessive stress on the assembly frame can be avoided. According to the invention, this object is achieved with a 2 machine of the kind mentioned at the beginning in that the assembly frame is rotatable relative to the machine frame about a supporting axle extending in the longitudinal direction of the machine. [04] Due to this ability to rotate, any twisting and thus overstressing of the assembly frame - particularly in the case of poor track position - is reliably precluded. [05] Additional advantages and configurations of the invention become apparent from the dependent claims and the drawing. The invention will be described in more detail below with reference to embodiments represented in the drawing. [06] Fig. 1 shows a simplified side view of a tamping machine, Fig. 2 shows an enlarged cross-section of the machine according to section line |I in Fig. 1, Fig. 3 shows a top view, and Fig. 4 a further variant of the invention. [07] A tamping machine I visible in Fig, 1 has a machine frame 2 which is mobile at each end by means of a respective on-track undercarriage 3 on a track 6 composed of sleepers 4 and rails 5. For that purpose, the machine is equipped with a motor 7 and a motive drive 8. A control device 10 is located in a work cabin 9. [08] Arranged between the two on-track undercarriages 3 of the machine frame 2 is an assembly frame 11 which, at a rear end 13 with regard to a working direction or longitudinal direction 12 of the machine, is 3 equipped with an undercarriage 14. At a front end 15 are provided two frame beams 16, positioned opposite one another in the transverse direction of the machine, which are mounted for longitudinal displacement in a frame support 17. A tamping unit 19, designed for simultaneously tamping three sleepers 4, is provided immediately in front of the undercarriage 14 equipped with a motive drive 18. A track lifting unit 20 is arranged preceding the tamping unit 19, both units 19, 20 are connected for vertical adjustment to the assembly frame 11. [09] As can be seen in Fig. 2, the frame support 17 consists of two sliding bearings 21, distanced from one another in a transverse direction 25 of the machine, which are connected to one another by a transverse beam 22. The latter, in turn, is mounted for transverse displacement in further sliding bearings 23 of a supporting beam 27 which is connected by means of a supporting axle 28 to the machine frame 2. The former sliding bearings 21 have sliding rollers 24 for displacement of the frame beams 16 in the longitudinal direction of the machine. The displacement of the frame support 17 in the transverse direction 25 of the machine is carried out by a transverse drive 26 which is articulatedly connected, on the one hand, to the machine frame 2 (or sliding bearing 23) and, on the other hand, to the transverse beam 22. [10] By means of the supporting axle 28, the supporting beam 27 is connected to the machine frame 2 for rotation about an axis extending in 4 the longitudinal direction of the machine (see also Fig. 3). Thus, the frame support 17 together with the assembly frame 11 is rotatable relative to the machine frame 2 about the supporting axle 28 extending in the longitudinal direction 12 of the machine. Additionally, the frame support 17 with the two frame beams 16 is also displaceable in the transverse direction 25 of the machine, as desired. [1 1] In the variant shown in Fig. 4, the supporting axle 28 is connected, on the one hand, directly to the transverse beam 22 of the frame support 17 and, on the other hand, to a sliding block 29. The latter is mounted on the machine frame 2 for displacement in the transverse direction 25 of the machine with the aid of a drive 30.
