Abstract
The invention relates to a device for securing rail clips (9) on a clip holder (10) connected to a sleeper (4), or optionally also for loosening same, consisting of two tool levers (11) which can be moved by an actuating cylinder around a pivot axis in the longitudinal direction of the rails, on the lower end of each of which levers a press piece (15) is arranged which is provided for laying against a rail clip (9). For an optional use of a first or a second stop (16, 17) for pushing the rail clip (9) in or out, each press piece (15) is designed to be rotatable about an axis of rotation (18) running parallel to the pivot axis of the tool levers (11). A clamp screw (19) is provided to fix the press piece (15) in the relevant working position. A third stop (20), which is provided for contacting the clip holder (10), is arranged behind the second stop (17), which is provided for pushing the rail clip (9) out.

DEVICE FOR SECURING RAIL CLIPS
[01] The invention relates to a device for fastening rail clamps according to the introductory part of the claim.
[02] From US 4,479,440, a device of this type for installing so-called e-clips is known which are pushed by the lower end of a tool lever in the longitudinal direction of the rail into a mount provided on the sleeper. According to US 4, 319,392, it is further known to remove rail clamps by means of a pivoting lever from their position for fixing the rail to the sleeper.
[03] EP 1 611 287 B1 discloses a device for installing rail clamps, wherein each pivotable tool lever has two pressing members which are mounted opposite to one another at both ends of a shaft extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the rail and thus can be turned alternately into the respective work position for inserting or pushing out the rail clamp.

[04] With the above issues in mind, at least some embodiments of the present invention provide a device of the type mentioned at the 2014243465 01 Feb 2017 la/6 beginning which enables a better adjustment of the working position of the pressing member.
[05] Accordingly, the present invention provides a device for selectively fastening or detaching rail clamps to/from a clamp mount connected to a sleeper, the device including: two tool levers movable in the longitudinal direction of the rails about a pivot axis by means of a squeezing cylinder, wherein a pressing member provided for application to a rail clamp is arranged in each case at the lower end of the tool levers, wherein: a) each pressing member is designed to be rotatable about an axis of rotation extending parallel to the pivot axis of the tool levers for selective deployment of a first or a second stop for inserting or pushing out a rail clamp, b) a clamping screw is provided for fixing the pressing member in the respective working position, c) a third stop provided for application to the clamp mount is arranged following the second stop provided for pushing the rail clamp out. 2 [08] A device equipped with these features can now be converted very quickly and without problems from a position for inserting the rail clamps into a position required for pushing the clamps out (and vice versa). The embodiment according to the invention enables a simple and robust construction with low vulnerability to damage and with high precision as well as easy operability. In this, the third stop reliably precludes any overshooting of the pivoting motion of the tool lever when removing the rail clamps, and any damage to the device or the track possibly threatening as a result.
[07] Additional advantages of the invention become apparent from the drawing description.
[08] The invention wifi be described in more detail below with reference to an embodiment represented in the drawing in which Fig. 1 shows a side view of a device, according to the invention, for fastening rail clamps, and Figs. 2 and 3 each show a detail view of a pressing member.
[09] Shown in Fig. 1 is a track treatment machine 1 which is mobile via an on-track undercarriage 2 on a track 5 formed of rails 3 and sleepers 4. A hand grip 8 serves for manual displacement of the machine 1 which is equipped with an energy source 7 and additionally has a device 8 for fastening (or detaching, as desired) rail clamps 9 on (or from) a clamp mount 10 connected to the sleeper 4. 3 [10] The device 8 consists essentially of two vertical tool levers 11 which are mounted for rotation on a common pivot axis 12 extending in the transverse direction of the track and, by means of a respective separate squeezing cylinder 13, are movable about said axis in the longitudinal direction of the track. In doing so, the squeezing motion of the two tool levers 11 - arranged at either side of the rail 3 during working operations - takes place in opposite directions.
[11] As can be seen more clearly now in Figs. 2 and 3, a pressing member 15 is arranged in each case at the lower end 14 of the tool levers 11, said pressing member 15 being intended for application to a rail clamp 9 and for pushing the same into (Fig. 2) or out of (Fig. 3) the clamp mount 10. To that end, the pressing member 15 has a first stop 16 for inserting as well as a second stop 17 for pushing out the rail clamp 9. In order to enable an alternating deployment of the stops 16, 17, as desired, the pressing member 15 is designed to be rotatable about an axis of rotation 18 extending parallel to the pivot axis 12 of the tool levers 11. A clamping screw 19 is provided for fixing the pressing member 15 in the respective working position.
[12] Additionally, the pressing member 15 has a third stop 20 which is arranged following the second stop 17 - in the working position for pushing the rail clamp 9 out - and which serves to be applied to the clamp mount 10 as soon as the rail clamp 9 has been fully detached from the damp mount 10, In this manner, the pushing-out movement prevented from being carried too far without hndrance, and damage occurring as a result is precluded.
