Description
IP Australia patent INVENTOR: Khanh Xia Ma - Reference No: 0412142579 Page 1 of 6 FIELD OF THE INVENTION The invention generally relates to the supporting of vehicle replacement panels at various angels to allow for several panels to be painted. An excellent design panel stand for use in the automotive industry. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION From the working background in the motor vehicle smash repair industry, it would appear that the usual method of spray painting replacement panels is impractical, time consuming and needlessly expensive. The design of this invention alleviates the unnecessary procedures of a tired and old method. This invention offers a fundamental capability change for practical use and cost saving. A modern approach to servicing the smash industry. This invention is of high quality construction and is designed to support the whole front end panels from various vehicle manufacturers. The benefits by using such equipment provides for easier application of paint to the panel, time efficient, easier manoeuvrability of the panels. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The invention generally comprises of a base support with fours caster wheels and brake for safety when placing or removing panels. The centre post extension control connects to the upper main supporting structure, from the main support it have the two rear main support and top front support that enable for the fitment of attachments to secure the panel.
IP Australia patent INVENTOR: Khanh Xia Ma - Reference No: 0412142579 Page 2 of 6 The attachments will come in two (2) variations to allow for the panel to be secured on the stand. The option of attachments will allow for the panel to be mounted, based on the various mounting points specific to the many and varied manufactured panels. The invention also allows for the addition of the front main extension that will allow to support additional panels on either side of the invention. This is optional for European car manufactures or for special vehicles. This would enable a total of three (3) panels to be mounted on the stand. The item is also designed to be collapsible (folded) and stored in an upright position and therefore allowing for more working space within the warehouse / panel shop. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Below is a description of the invention in order to obtain a better understanding of the concept. The back pole will assist in supporting the panel and therefore there are no concerns on how large or heavy the panel is. A bracket brace linkage with hook attachment (fig 2, 33) can be used to support a bonnet which will catch at one side of bonnet hinge hole or panel hole at a close position. Depending on the various types of manufacturer panel, a ratchet wrench will operate the rack and gear pinion simultaneously to allow the hook attachment (fig 2, 34) to vary in order to allow for the various widths and therefore will catch both sides of the bonnet hinge hole or panel hole. The hook / latch attachment (fig 2, 42) at the front will catch the bonnet hook position as it is lowered to a flat position. The centre bracket brace has both side extension bars to support European panel and also support additional panels i. e front guards when necessary, otherwise both extension bar will folded away when not in use. The two (2) additional supporting bars can be used in conjunction with the extension bars to allow for the panel i.e. guards to connect and therefore you are able to paint bonnet and guards simultaneously allowing for better time efficiency and easier manoeuvrability of the panels that you are working on.
