Description
AUSTRALIA Patents act 1990 Complete Specification Innovation Patent THE GRAPEVINE CANE FENCE PANEL The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of installation known to me: 1. For many Years wineries have been burning and mulching their end of season by product grapevine cane. It is my invention to utilize this by product, Grapevine Cane, from vinyards and make fence panels from it. For many years manufacturers have made fence panels out of brushwood in various states in Australia. Each using a similar method. Constructing a panel of nominal thickness, say, 50mm by pressing the brushwood in a jig and holding it together by using wires on the outside of the material and wire clips holding the two together with the material in between. Panels being a workable size to transport and able to pick up by 2 men, usually 1.8 metres high and 2-2.3 metres long, but not always. The only difference has seemed to be the number of laterals and number of clips and slight difference in size. As with Brushwood Patent no: 1981069380, and no: 1979pe0403 volume 3/36 volume 54/17, now lapsed and cancelled no longer protected. The innovation of this invention is with the material used to form the panel, not being of brushwood but Grapevine Cane, thus making, "The Grapevine Cane Fence Panel." Holding together in a similar way as described previously. This panel will be of a said thickness of 50mm but not limited too, and height of 1.8metres but not limited too, and a length of 2metres but not limited too. Sizes may vary with requirement and invention but innovation with Grapevine Cane. The Grapevine Cane shall be vertical but can be formed horizontal and the holding wires shall be adjacent to it, and is said stood with the Grapevine Cane vertically. The panels are made then transported to fence erection site then posts of steel or wood are set out and stood at equal distance along line of proposed fence to allow panel size between and concreted in place. The panels are then stood in between the posts and fixed to post by wiring or other form of fixing to the said posts until distance of required fence is achieved. Then an angle or tube steel or other support is secured to the top of posts on top of panels for strength and fixed and then wrapped with Grapevine Cane to make appearance consistent with Grapevine Fence Panels.
Claims (3)
- 2. The claims defining the invention are as follows: 1. Grapevine Cane lay in length together and compressed to form a fence panel made of Grapevine Cane of thickness 30-60mm. 2. Grapevine Cane panel as with claim 1 of size 1.8metres high and 2metres long with Grapevine Cane vertical and holding wires horizontal or adjacent, as many as 7 with clips holding external wires together.
- 3. Grapevine Cane Fence Panel as with claim 1&2 but with posts and top rail visible using colour bond or wood.
- 4. Grapevine Cane Fence Panel substantially herein before described with reference to Figure 1 of the accompanying drawings.
