Description

AUSTRALIA
Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT BOTTLE COOLER HOLDER The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me: BOTTLE COOLER HOLDER Scott Graeme Plane 2005 PO Box 805, GLENELG, South Australia, 5045 Thursday, September 01, 2005 FROM Scott Plane FROM Scott Plane ~PHONE NO. :08 8294 18350 Dc 020 22P 0 Dec. 20 2005 12:20PM P04 o Description This bottle cooler and holder has a disengaging top and bottom and covers a glass beverage bottle completely with only the bottle neck protruding ci through tbe top. The invention is innovative because within the bottle cooler and holder is a sping loaded force mechanism that ensures glass beverage bottles of various sizes are unable to move, This allows the contents to be poured whilst the bottle is within the bottle cooler and holder.
o Bottle coolers and holders have, in the pastbeen containers that wrap or are placed around the bottle to provide some formi of insulation against warm hands. These coolers have either been open ended allowing the base of the o bottle into the container or two part bottle cooler and holders which mostly allowed for a standard bottle of uniform size and shape.
This invention has been devised in order to provide a bottle cooler and holder of simple, cheap, effective and readily reusable construction. The bottle cooler and holder is cylindrical in shape and completely encloses many different sized glass beverage bottles to trap an insulating space of air around the bottle and -render the bottle immovable regardless of' the amount of liquid inside the bottle.
The bottle cooler and holder will fit in a human hand and pour without internai glass beverage bottle shift or movement in the same manner as a bottle withiout this invention would.
The spring loaded force mechanism is placed inside the bottle cooler and holder under the base of the bottle and forces the bottle neck through a much smaller opening at the top of bottle cooler and holdr until the bottle cooler and holder rests hard against the shoulder of the bottle.
The invention may be better understood with reference to the illustrations represented as Figures 1, 2 3.
BOTTLE COOLER HOLDER C Scott Gracine Plane 2005 PO Box 805. G1YNYILG, Soaith Austnlia,W545 Monday, Novcntr 28. 2005 2 COMS ID No: SBMI-02240836 Rec-eived by IP Australia: Time 12:50 Date 2005-12-20 FROM Scott Plane PHONE NO. 08 8294 1850 Dec. 20 2005 12:21PM 0 Cl Description o) Continued The bottle cooler and holder in accordance with this invention is best o 5 described in Figure 3 and comprises an invention made up of six different Cl parts with one part used twice.
The top cover 2, which has a circular hole in it, fits over the top of the glass beverage bottle and allows the bottle neck to move trough the hole. The 10 bottom canister 1 slides over the bottom of the bottle and clips into the top 0 ocover 2 via a locking mechanism.
o The locking mechanism between the top cover 2 and bottom canister 1 in othis case is in the form of a snap lock with two arms protruding from the C' 15 bottom canister I that slide into two holes in the top cover 2. Easy disengagement is allowed through pressing two buttons that need to be pushed simultaneously. This locking mechanism could also be via other actions and designs which are described visually in figures 4-9 11-12.
Prior to closing the two major parts together, a spring loaded force mechanism is placed into the bottom canister I prior to placing the glass beverage bottle on top of it. The spring loaded force mechanism in this case is made up of three parts: two flat platforms 3 which fit onto the two ends of a spring 5. This spring loaded force mechanism could also be via other mechanisms as described visually in figures 4-6 and 10-12, There is also a bottom cover 4 that fits over the bottom of the bottom canister 1 to hide the spring loaded force mechanism should the construction material be transparent and the consumer not want to view an exposed spring loaded force mechanism.
The bottle cooler and holder can be made either transparent or opaque according to the choice or colour of material used. The transparent bottle cooler and holder will allow the glass beverage bottle inside to be viewed by the consumer.
