Abstract
Electromagnetic braking device comprises a magnetic coil (2) having a core (5) assigned to the wide sides (3, 4) of a mold. The core consists of a main part (6) receiving the magnetic coil and travelling toward the wide side walls on one side and consists of additional parts (8) arranged in water tanks (7) of the mold on the other side. The core parts form U-shaped yokes (9) to produce a closed magnetic flow (10) in the operating position.
