Abstract

A process for the manufacturing of molds for precision casting, die casting and the like allows the achieving of best performances and comprises the steps of: providing a die holder cavity, made through rapid prototyping techniques, apt to receive a main pattern, from which a mold is to be obtained; placing said main pattern, provided with spacers; in said cavity, casting a low-melting alloy in said cavity, allowing the casting harden; and removing a mold to be used for obtaining investment patterns.
