Description

AUSTRALIA
Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION STANDARD PATENT Applicant(s): FIRMA RIWA TEC GMBH MESSGERATE HANDELSGESELLSCHAFT Invention Title: PLUG WITH INNER- AND OUTER-DRUM °oooo ooooo* oo*o eooo The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me/us: The present invention relates to a plug which can be put into holes, especially into drilled bore holes of walls, which plug effects a surprising solid tightening for example in lay brick-walls also in such cases in which the hole or the plug has at least partly sizes and especially varying di- Sameter-dimensions, which do not allow the use of the so-called spreadplugs known in the prior art. The plug according to this invention is consisting in an inner drum preferably in the shape of a pyramid-stump made out of a hard material and in a outer drum made out of extendable material, whereby the outer drum is connected with the inner drum for examio pie by welding.
The inner drum is consisting preferably in a hard plastic-material especially in polyamid, the outer plug is consisting preferebly in a soft plastic material for example in a soft polyethylene or soft gum-material.
oo *"The nature of the present invention is explained further in the attached ooooo figures.
.oo.oi In these figures preferred examples of the invention are presented.
ooeoo Figure 1 shows the pyramid-stump shaped inner drum made out of hard **material; Figure 2 shows the outer drum made out of a much extensible soft material; Figure 3 is a horizontal cut of the presentation according figure 1.
2 Figure 4 shows a total picture of the plug according to the present invention whereby the inner drum which carries the reference number 1 is put into the outer drum which carries the reference number 2. The smaller basis area 1 a of the inner drum is tightly connected with the under side area 2a of the outer drum, for example by glueing or welding.
In the following, the structure and the function of this inventive plug will be described together with the attached figures 1 4, which show a preferred example in detail.
co The plug according figure 4 will be put in a bore hole of a lay brick which bore hole is for example some millimetres wider; then a (not shown) plug- .oo..i screw will be screwed into a canal with a star-like diameter (=star-canal)
S.
S" which has the reference number 3 which plug screw will create a screwt. way in the inner drum 1 in which hard inner drum the star canal which
S
carries the reference number 3 is arranged, whereby the both (above
*SS.S'
S mentioned) bases areas are connected. The plug screw is made out of a material which is naturally still harder compared with the material of the 555 ~inner drum with the consequence, that it is possible to screw the plug 2-a screw into the star-canal whereby the screw way is created.
S. S The screwing that means the producing of this screw way is finished as soon as the plug screw will have reached the end of the star-canal.
3 In order to effect that a relative-turning of the inner drum to the outer drum is made impossible, according to a preferred embodiment, at the upper surface area of the inner drum with a smaller diameter (reference number 2a) there are arranged pegs carrying reference number 4 with Sheads 4a, which are going through relative bore holes of the surface 2a of the outer drum.
In order to effect the requested very tight hold (support) of the plug according to this invention in a wall-hole or in another plug-hole, now, the to plug screw will be screwed further with the following (surprising) effect: The inner drum is carrying out in the outer drum a kind of a back movement whereby by this screw-movement the flexible, soft and preferably "blowing" outer drum will be shortened that means will get a smaller length and contemporarily a rather big enlargement of its diameter with ~the consequence that automatically in most cases wider plug holes will be-filled out and a very tight fixing of the outer wall in the plug hole is effected.
o* S 3,*S According to a preferred embodiment the outer drum has ripp-elements •oooo carrying the reference number 5 made out of soft material.
SoS "••According to a further embodiment the outer drum has a finish plate carrying the reference number 6 which has at its surface a fluting element carrying the reference number 6a which is put into the under end-area of the ripp elements According to a further preferred embodiment the outer surface of the pyramid-stump-shaped inner drum carries a sharp grooving, carrying the reference number 7 which will favour the above mentioned upsetting of the outer drum.
The fluting outer surface of the inner drum effects during the backwardmoving of the inner drum in the outer drum an increasement of the "power-hold" and thereby an increasing of the above described "blowing" of the outer drum.
Lo It is to be understood that, if any prior art publication is referred to herein, such reference does not constitute an admission that the publication forms a part of the common general knowledge in the art, in Australia or any other country.
For the purposes of this specification it will be clearly ~understood that the word "comprising" means "including but not limited to", and that the word "comprises" has a cn corresponding meaning.
