Abstract

A tubular lighting element is disclosed comprising two concentric tubes (1,2) of translucent material, each filled with a component of a chemiluminescent composition which, when mixed, produce chemical light, wherein the inner tube (2) contains at least one serration (5) which causes the tube to be broken (7,8) thereat when flexed.
