Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a fluorescent lamp with a better life performance eliminating macula lutea phenomenon by sealing inert gas composed of cripton into a glass tube coated with a transparent conductive film on the inner surface thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a glass tube is coated with a transparent conductive film 2 made of tin oxide. Additionally, it is laminated with a non-conductive film 3 hard to work on mercury made of aluminium oxide or the like and further with a phosphor 4. A mixed gas mainly comprising kripton is sealed into glass tube. This prevents macula lutea phenomenon. thus affording a better lighting appearance and luminous flux performance up to the end of the life
