Abstract

The invention relates to a bag (1), in particular a rubbish or collection bag, which has a closing band (5) for closing arranged on a side wall (7a) below the opening (2). The closing band (5) is bonded to, preferably, both side walls (7a, 7b) in the area of longitudinal side seams (8a, 8b) at primary connection points (6a, 6b) by a separate bond (4). The closing band (5) is therefore connected to the bag in such a manner that it cannot be torn therefrom and can be used to form a loop surrounding the whole bag opening and to subsequently form a knot.
