Abstract
1. Regulating device for the temperature of electrically heated appliances with a working bimetallic strip (36) determining the intermittent on-time of the appliance and a compensating bimetallic strip (26) counteracting the influence of the ambient temperature on the working bimetallic strip (36), whereby in said device the compensating bimetallic strip (26) substantially removes the deformation of the working bimetallic strip (36) caused by increasing ambient temperature only up to a given value of the latter as a result of constantly increasing characteristic deformation whilst, in the case of ambient temperatures above this value, the compensating bimetallic strip (26) engages with a stop, characterized in that the stop is arranged between the fixed end (76) of the compensating bimetallic strip (26) and the effective application point (70) in such a way that in the case of temperatures above the given value the deformation of the partial length of the compensating bimetallic strip (26) located between the application point (70) and the stop can continue to act with a correspondingly reduced compensating effect.
