The stabilising device comprises a skirt (31) of substantially conical general shape, the axis of the cone coinciding with the axis of the projectile (1), this skirt (31) being fixed to the projectile (1) in the region of its rear part and being maintained by a connection means in a folded position when the projectile is in the barrel of the firearm, and unfolding at the exit of said barrel.
