Abstract
The invention concerns a flexible heating element and a process for manufacturing the said element. The invention is applicable in particular in the electrical industry, and the element is designed in particular to be applied to any type of surface to be heated, or to be immersed in a liquid. The flexible heating element (1) comprises at least two layers (2, 3) of flexible insulating material arranged and fixed on either side of a third, resistant metallic layer (4). The said layers (2 and 3) of flexible insulating material advantageously consist of a complex which possesses high tensile strength, high heating strength, high resistance to perforation, and high temperature resistance, which does not absorb moisture, and whose outer surface has been rendered non-adherent.
