Abstract

The sauna heater has, in a side wall, a thin shaft (35) extending over a part of the width of the side wall. This shaft has approximately the thickness of the conventional insulation. In the area of its lower end, a fan (40) is provided. This is allocated an adjustment slide (55.1 to 55.3) which determines the cross-sections of the air inlet openings and thus the proportions of the air to be reheated (54.2) and fresh air (54.1). At the upper end (68) there is a deflection arrangement (70), which conveys the air forced up by the fan (40) into the heating arrangement. Electrically heated heat registers (81) are provided there. These are provided with aerated sheet-metal coverings, through which there flow currents of cool air diverted from the cold air current. The air heated in the heat registers and the cool air together pass through a suitably shaped flat distribution nozzle (85) directly under the ceiling of the sauna cabin and flow out slowly and equally noiselessly. <IMAGE>
