Abstract

Locking device for a luggage comprised of a button and a cover assembled by a hinge. This devices comprises two parts, a box (1) and a catch (4), The chest or box contains a locking mechanism controlled by a push-button (2), formed substantially by two parallel flat plates spaced apart by trigger gards, one of these plates comprising openings (3) for the hasps (5) of the catch. The locking mechanism comprises inside the chest a rod provided at its middle part with an opening wherein the triangular end of the pusher penetrates and is also provided with blocks having openings into which the hasps penetrate. An alternative of the mechanism comprises two rods having the same shape and length located on either of the pusher which controls their translation. The edge (8) of he chest forms an element at the periphery of the luggage and comprises, at its middle part a set back (6) in the middle of which is arranged the push button (2), the flat faces (7) at the end of the set back being provided with means adapted for fitting a handle for transport the luggage.
