The invention relates to a shaving head, particular a blade unit (1), in which, in a plastic housing (4), a single or twin blade (8, 8') is fastened by undetachable mounting upon a blade platform (7) of the plastic housing (4), in the case of the twin blade (8, 8') a spacer (10) being arranged between the two blades (8, 8') and, if desired, the plastic housing (4) together with the single or twin blade (8, 8') being wrapped in wire (13). In order to create a shaving head of simple design and having simple fastening means for the single or twin blades (8, 8') within the plastic housing (4), it is proposed with the invention that the plastic housing (4) have an opening (9) for the single or twin blade (8, 8'), which is accessible from above and into which the single or twin blade (8, 8') is inserted from above into the plastic housing (4) onto the blade platform (7), and that a cover (cap 14) be attached to the plastic housing (4) and in this way be permanently secured thereto, the single or twin blade (8, 8') being fixed between the said cover (cap 14) and the blade platform (7) of the plastic housing (4). <IMAGE>
