Abstract

The spacer possesses carrying legs (1) which are arranged in a first plane and supporting legs (3) which are arranged in another plane, the two planes forming an acute angle. At the junction of the two legs, a web (5) is fastened in order to carry the upper reinforcement mat. Carrying limbs (6) with hooks (7) are arranged in the plane of the supporting legs (3) in order to receive the lower reinforcement mat. In order to increase the stability of the holder when loaded by the lower mat, the supporting legs (3) are bent inwards at the bottom, the bends (10) lying somewhat above the apex (8) of the hooks (7), as a result of which the resulting force acts on the carrying legs (1) in the direction of the bearing surface. To increase the carrying capacity of the hooks (7), the supporting legs (3) and the carrying limbs (6) are connected to one another by a strut (9).
