Abstract
1. Expandable jointing element for producing joints in overground building construction and intended to remain in the joint gap, characterised in that it consists of at least three layers (1, 5), of which the two outer layers (1) are made of rigid sheet material which has a textured surface (2) on the side facing the joint and a smooth surface (3) on the side facing the adjacent inner layer or layers (5, 7), and in that at least one of the interposed layers (5) is a sheet of elastic, closed-pored foam material with low resistance to crushing, the individual layers being bonded together (4).
