Abstract

The mechanism has a transmission-reception device (2) for sending an activation signal (14) i.e. electromagnetic alternating field, at an operating frequency of a transponder (5) and for receiving a data signal (15) that is sent back from the transponder. An antenna (3) and a sensor antenna (7) are assigned to the transmission-reception device and an inductive sensor circuit (6), respectively. The antennas form a magnetically coupled, galvanically decoupled coil system. The sensor antenna is operated at a frequency corresponding to the operating frequency of the antenna. An independent claim is also included for a lock i.e. lock cylinder, including an actuation member.
