Abstract

1. A roof skylight which is arranged on a mounting rim or the like and which is curved in an arch configuration, comprising two base profile members (10) which extend in mutually parallel relationship and which have an outwardly facing limb, which are fixed on the top sides of the mutually oppositely disposed longitudinal edges of the mounting rim and to which pre-fabricated, translucent elements which are in the form of segments of a circle are force-lockingly connected in the region of their longitudinal edges, wherein each element comprises two spaced-apart supporting arcuate profile members (1) and at least one translucent panel (4) which lies on a slide band (1a) and which at each of its two straight longitudinal edges is held by the one limb of a frame profile member (3) characterised in that the translucent panel is a hollow-chamber panel (4), that the arcuate profile members (1) each lie on the lower limb of the approximately U-shaped frame profile member (3) and are only force-lockingly connected thereto, that arranged on the top side of the hollow-chamber panel (4) at the location of each arcuate profile member (1) is a respective transversely extending cover profile member (2) with a lip seal (2a), the cover profile member being force-lockingly connected at its two ends to the respective frame profile members (3), that connected to the frame profile member (3) are at least two spaced-apart support plates (7) which are each provided with a tubular eye at their downwardly projecting limbs, and that the outwardly facing limb of the base profile member (10) goes into a tube (10a) of the same inside diameter as the tubular eye, which is cut open in the region of the support plates (7) and into which can be fitted a connecting pin (9) which engages into the tubular eye.
