Abstract

A friction loading powder, for projected munitions, contains a doping material which, on firing, results in particle emission having a composition not excessively emitted into the environment and/or a composition in which the three intensity strength lines of the X-ray fluorescence spectrum of the doping material between 1 keV and 15 keV stand out. Independent claims are included for: (1) A firearm cartridge for hand and rifle fire weapons using the above powder; (2) A process for production of the above powder, by embedding the doping material in a polymer.
