Abstract
The enclosed fireplace is notable in that it has a rear air inlet, and a fireplace the base and side walls of which are lined with refractory blocks (7), (9) and (5), (6), a primary air circuit formed of two symmetric branches, each one opening through a side refractory block (5) or (6) via ports (38) situated above the base plane of the fireplace (1) and a secondary air circuit formed of two symmetric parts grafted onto the primary air circuit and running along the side refractory blocks (5) and (6) to end at a distributor despatching the heated air in a downwards stream against the rear face of the glazed part (3) via a curved deflector (36). The fireplace is lined with refractory blocks and thermally insulated. This invention is of interest to the manufacturers of enclosed fireplaces.
