Abstract

1. Two-directional espagnolette with edge-plate including, in a case (2) integrally connected with the edge-plate (3), a mechanism comprising a door-knob hole (9) directly controlling the end (7) of a first locking rod (5) sliding along the internal face (4) of the edge-plate (3) through the intermediary of a connection piece (16) fitted with a stud (18) interacting with an aperture (19) created in the body (10) of the door-knob hole (9) and indirectly the end (8) of a second locking rod (6) arranged against the bottom (30) of the case (2) through the intermediary of a reversing device (24) the two locking rods (5, 6) moving in opposite directions being arranged in direct alignment with one another and flush against the inside face (4) of the edge-plate (3), the espagnolette being such that the door-knob hole (9) includes a spindle (13) fitted with a concentric reinforcement (31) resting upon the guiding edge of the connecting piece (16) and the inside face (34) of the end (8) of the second locking rod (6).
