Abstract

The image enhancement device has the image signal input (1) coupled to 2 different signal paths respectively containing an interpolator (2) and a delay device (3), each providing an image signal with a higher resolution, fed to a switching stage (6) which supplies one or other of the enhanced signals to the display (7), in dependence on a switching control signal (S1). This is provided by a processor (4) coupled to the signal input for evaluating the image content.
