Abstract
Process for hot dip coating a metal strand (1), especially a steel strand, involves using two flaps (6) formed as guide plates arranged on both sides of the metal strand and below the liquid channel (4). The flaps have no contact with the metal strand in an open position (A) and contact the metal strand in a closed position (B).
