Abstract
In a heating boiler, preferably of the low-temperature type, there is, located between the combustion chamber 1 and the water reservoir 10, a space 12 of annular cross section, through which the flue gases from the combustion chamber flow, imparting heat to the water reservoir, before they leave from a flue pipe 19. Said space is divided into longitudinal flow ducts A, B, C which are interconnected in a series arrangement which starts from a discharge opening 22 at the bottom in the combustion chamber and opens into the flue pipe 19. The hot flue gases carried off from the combustion chamber will in this way impart heat to the lower part of the water reservoir 10 in a first stage, after which they impart further heat to the other portions of the water reservoir in subsequent stages. <IMAGE>
