Abstract

1. Frame press for window frames, door frames or the like frames made from vertical an horizontal frame portions (22, 23, 24, 25), comprising a stationary and a movable, substantially vertical support beam (6, 5), which is motor-driven parallel to the stationary beam, an upper pressing corner (10), being attached to the stationary beam (6) movably in height, and a lower pressing corner (19) as well an upper twin pressing corner (14) movable in height, both being attached to the movable support beam (5), and furthermore comprising sensing means (30, 40) for sensing a horizontal and a vertical frame portion (24, 23), characterised in that a striker bar (7) forming a vertical pressure beam is as signed to the stationary beam (6) with pressing corner (10), which striker bar carries a vertical frame portion (22) and is movable relative and parallel to the beam (6), that the pressing corner (10) is provided with sensing means (30) for sensing the upper edge of the frame portion (22) and for signalling the adjustement of the pressing corner (10) and of the striker bar (7) to the pressing position, that the lower pressing corner (19) of the movable beam (5) for inserting the lower horizontal frame portion (24) into the press is movable away from its working position, and that sensing means (40) are provided at the movable beam (5) for sensing the frame portion (24).
