Process for burning refuse in which house-hold and/or industrial refuse are burned with addition of fuels promoting burning, characterized in that before loading the refuse to be burned and the fuels promoting burning a) special chalk T, containing calcium carbonate and hexagonal carbon as well as b) residual products from the sugar industry chosen from i) syrup-like molasses ii) solid matter from beet purification as well as iii) carbo slurry from sugar production are additionally added and in that the temperature in the furnace is held at 850 to 950 degrees C.
