Abstract

The invention relates to a heat exchanger which is provided with superposed parallel plates defining two heat exchange areas, whereby a primary liquid circulates in one of said heat exchange areas and a secondary liquid circulates in the other. The invention is characterized in that it comprises an integrated three-way valve fitted with a flap (71) that can selectively occlude a supply orifice for the primary liquid, thereby allowing the primary liquid to escape once it has crossed the heat-exchanger stack in order to close the opening of the chimney (62) at the exit of said stack, enabling the primary liquid to flow directly without having to cross the heat exchange area of said heat exchanger. The inventive heat exchanger with an integrated valve can be produced at low cost and is highly compact. It can be used for a number of applications, especially in mixed domestic heating systems providing an instantaneous supply of hot sanitary water.
