Abstract

An appts. (V) for scorching warp thread particularly in the form of a thread array or flat woven textile fabric (1) has on both sides of a run: (a) burners (3) which can be swung w.r.t. the passing material, the burner units swivelling on: (b) shafts (4) until they are in the horizontal plane of the shafts as indicated by dash and dotted lines. Also claimed are: (i) appts. where, as the burner swings onto the textile prod. (1) it follows at the same time a coupled movement which brings it increasingly nearer to the material; and (ii) appts. where a suction appts. (A) is placed after each burner as the fabric runs (arrow z) and the appts. lies at an acute angle ( alpha ) w.r.t. the material passage line.
