Abstract

The present invention relates to a clamping device (3) comprising two or more grip jaws (4), both extending to a pincer portion (6) and being linked to each other in the transition area (5) by a crosspiece (7). For a low cost manufacturing, the invention suggests that the clamping device (3) or its external half-profile (3') be made of one single plastic piece with a plurality a hollow profiles (P). The preferred extrusion process enables a plastic monofilament with such hollow profiles (P) to be obtained and the pincers to be severed to the desired width. Thus, clips and clamps of varying widths can be manufactured at a low cost using a simple forming tool.
