Abstract

1. Switching system comprising a pantograph-type isolator and a counter contact (10; 80; 110; 112 to 118) acting in conjunction with the latter which counter contact is suspended at a stay of the switching system and which, in the switched-on condition, is located between the blades of the pantograph-type isolator, and commutation contacts (20, 22; 84, 86; 124, 126) for commutating the current during the switching-off process to arcing contacts which are used for guiding the breaking arc, characterised in that the commutation contacts (20, 22; 84, 86; 124, 126) and the arcing contacts (24, 26, 28, 30, 46; 100, 104; 120, 106; 146, 150) are arranged at the counter contact (10; 80; 110; 112 to 118) so that the breaking arc (L) is drawn in the area of the counter contact (10; 80; 110; 112 to 118).
