Abstract

The contact pressure with which the contact pressure rollers (2) are set against the plate cylinder (1) is variable over the format width. The contact pressure rollers associated with the format centre of the cylinder are placed more heavily against the latter than the rollers associated with the format edges so that a linear pressure (7) is produced with convex path. Alternatively the rollers at the edges are more heavily stressed to produce a concave path of the linear pressure. The rollers are mounted rotatable on a common axis (3) with a tension device between the axis and cross bar (4) set parallel to same.
