Abstract
A test circuit arrangement for a residual current device has a test circuit which is arranged between a phase conductor (L) and the return conductor (N) of a mains power supply and in which a current limiting resistor (19), the tripping relay (28) of the residual current device and a switch arrangement (11, 22) which can be operated by means of a test button (32, 33) are located which are connected in series with one another. This configuration prevents the current limiting resistor (19) burning out. The switch arrangment (11, 22) is constructed such that test circuit is closed only briefly during the operating process of the test button. In this case, the contact spring pair (14, 15) is closed first, and the initially closed contact spring pair (23, 24) is opened if the test button is pressed in further. <IMAGE>
