Abstract

An electric storage heater contains a heat-storage core, heating bodies surrounded by this, and a heat-insulating cage surrounding the core. The heat-insulating cage can be closed on its front side which forms the mounting side (14) by a front insulating wall (10). The heat-insulating cage has a cage side wall (8), through which lines such as heat-transmission, control and/or regulating elements are guided to the cage interior. The cage side wall (8) is of multi-layer design and also contains a guide-through wall (18) as well as shaped walls (19, 20) flanking the latter on one side. The guide-through wall (18) contains guide-through openings (25). They make possible a lateral mobility of the lines transversely to their longitudinal axis (29) during mounting. In the final mounted position, the shaped walls (19, 20) bear flush against one another and with their recesses (23, 24) positively surround the lines. <IMAGE>
