Abstract

The invention relates to an antenna with top-loading capacity (2), especially for a short linear antenna, for radio telephones, especially handsets, conforming to the GSM Standard. At the base point (4), the antenna has an elongation coil (3) and, for matching, an autotransformer. The top-loading capacity is formed by a metallised film which is bent approximately in a U-shape in order to increase the capacity. The complete circuit, consisting of the top-loading capacity, the elongation coil and autotransformer, is advantageously configured on a film, as a printed circuit. The antenna counterweight (1) is configured as a wave trap, especially as a part of the housing of the transmitting/receiving apparatus. <IMAGE>
