Abstract

A tamper evident closure for containers for receiving substances in paste form has a base body (1), which can be attached to the neck of the container and a lid (2) which is pivotably connected to the base body (1) via a hinge (3) and can be swung into a position which closes the aperture (11) in the base body (1) and into a position which exposes this aperture. Provided on the base body (1) is a shoulder (21) which, when the lid (2) is swung into its closed position, engages with the lid (2) in the region of an aperture (32) therein. The shoulder (21) is connected to the base body (1) via a predetermined breaking point, e.g. a tear edge (25), so that it tears away from the base body (1) when the lid (2) is opened. <IMAGE>
