Abstract

The chimney flue (3) is of circular cross-section and is made in sections fitted together (12) at the level of each floor (9). Distance pieces (13) support the flue sections and hold them in a central position in the circular cross-section air duct (5) of the chimney (1). The air duct is made in sections, and is surrounded by heat insulation material (4) inside a square-section outer casing (6). The passage through each floor (7) is large enough to leave an air gap which is filled at the top by spacer elements (10,11). External plates (8) overlap the joints between the outer casings.
