Device for driving the winding mandrel of the cigarette hiHsetunaschmell.
As is known, the winding mandrel of the cigarette barrel machine grasps the front edge of the mouthpiece leaf and is then set in rotation in order to wind the leaf in the winding tube to form the mouthpiece roll. The winding mandrel is then stopped and the finished winding, the cigarette tube, is inserted, after which the game begins again. The winding mandrel must therefore be rotated in one and the same direction, but at intervals.
In the modern, high-speed machines, the use of the known intermittent gears (such as Maltese cross or the like) is impractical. here the drive must be carried out by means of reciprocating means such as tartar, tooth sector or the like. It is important, however, that a reverse rotation of the winding mandrel does not take hold, but both the opening. as well as the course of the drive means is used for the mandrel rotation. to the. To accelerate the sequence of work performed by the mandrel shaft, since the mandrel is at a standstill at the beginning (

need only be brief.
The invention relates to a device in which the back and forth motion of a toothed drive is transmitted to the mandrel shaft with structurally very simple means. that it turns in the same direction both when walking and when walking. For this purpose, the pinion gear engages a drive wheel sitting directly on the mandrel shaft. On the other hand, the gear drive interacts with a lateral drive wheel, which sits on a shaft parallel to the mandrel shaft. This shaft is in constant engagement with the drive wheel of the mandrel shaft through a special drive wheel. Between the stroke changes of the toothed drive going back and forth, the mandrel shaft with the parallel shaft is shifted longitudinally accordingly.
The new device is shown on the drawing in Figs. 1 and 2 at different positions of the

can slide by means of a dovetail guide on the carrier cl and be displaced back and forth in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the winding mandrel, the extension e being displaced longitudinally in the sleeve b. The back and forth displacement is provided by a lever which is rotatably mounted around the bolt A.

engages, which sits on a lever o. This lever, swinging around the fixed bolt p, has a toothed sector q at its end.
Depending on the position of the bearing slide f, the toothed sector comes into engagement either with a spur gear r arranged on the spinous process e or with a spur gear s arranged on a shaft t parallel to the mandrel shaft. The wave t is also in the sliding

The control of the toothed sector and the bearing slide f is now dimensioned in such a way that the toothed sector engages with the spur gear 1 'on the mandrel shaft when it is hung. After that moves. I the sliding bearing f, so that when going back the tooth sector engages with the spur gear s on the parallel shaft t. In both cases the mandrel shaft is turned in the same direction.
The lift curve i1 on the disk l is dimensioned in such a way that the toothed sector always comes to a standstill in the lift shaft. During this time, the sliding bearing f and the insertion of the tip leaf end or the stripping of the finished roll take place.
