Day of the week and clock showing the date.
The present invention relates to a watch which not only displays the time, but also the days of the week and the date. The invention is mainly located in the fact that a gear wheel, which is driven by the clockwork and executes a full revolution every 24 hours, is provided with two stops, one of which is a switching element for switching a disc with the names of the seven days of the week and a switching element for Continuation of a disc marked with the digits 1-31 is actuated, while the other stop moves the two switching elements back into their starting position.
In the drawing, which schematically illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, FIG. 1 shows the switching device of the clock and FIG. 2 shows its dial.
The gear wheel 1, on which the minute hand is attached and which makes one full revolution every hour, engages in a gear wheel 2 of the same size, which also rotates one full hour every hour and is located inside the watch case. On the axis of the wheel 2 there is a small gear wheel 3 which is connected to it in rotation and which engages in a large gear wheel 4 which is loosely rotatably seated on the axis of the wheel 1. The translation of the gears 3, 4 is such that the wheel 4 performs a full revolution every 24 hours. On the wheel 4, two pins 5, 6 are arranged diametrically opposite one another, which protrude in opposite directions from the plane of this wheel.
On a disk 7 are arranged in a circle equidistant from one another, the seven days of the week are recorded. On the axis of the disc 7 there is a ratchet wheel 8 in which a ratchet 9 engages. This pawl is carried by a slide 10 which is guided straight in guides 11. A two-armed lever 12 and a one-armed lever 1 engage the slide 10:; at. The lower end of the lever 12 protrudes into the path of the pin 5 and the lower end of the lever 1-3 into the path of the pin 6.
On the disk 14, the numbers 1-31 are shown in a circle at the same distance from one another.
A ratchet 9a engages in a ratchet wheel 15 seated on the axis of the disc 14. This is carried by a slide 10a which is just guided in guides 11a. A two-armed lever 12a and a one-armed lever 13a act on the slide 10 ″. The lower end of the lever 12a protrudes into the path of the pin 5 and the lower end of the lever 13a into the path of the pin 6. The reverse rotation of the ratchet wheel prevented by a locking spring 16.
Three viewing openings 17, 18, 19 are provided above the dial. When the disks 7, 14 are rotated, the days of the week appear one after the other in the opening 17 and the numbers 1-31 appear one after the other in the opening 18. When a disk, which has the names of the months, is rotated only by hand by means of the handle button 20, these appear one after the other in the opening 19.
The discs 7, 14 can be adjusted manually using the handle buttons 21, 22:
If, during the rotation of the wheel 4 in the direction of the arrow, the pin 5 hits the lever 12 or 12a, the slide 10 or 10a together with the pawl 9 or 9a is displaced by this. that the latter advances the disc 7 or 14 by one step. The name of the next day of the week appears in opening 17 and the associated day number appears in opening 18. In the opening 19, the names of the months are made to appear one after the other in that a disc bearing the names of the months is rotated one step further by hand at the end of each month.
The clock can be set so that the pin 5 always comes into action around midnight, i.e. H. on the lever 1 or.
