Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Steckereimichtungen zur Abnahme verschiedener Gebrauchsspannungen aus einem
Wechselstromnetz.

  Connector equipment for taking different usage voltages from one
AC grid.

    The invention relates to a connector combined with a transformer. According to the invention, the transformer is enclosed in a non-conductive sheath which has two contact pins b (FIGS. 1 and 2) and two contact pins a on the underside (FIGS. 1 and 3).

  If you now plug the transformer into a socket in the mains for z. B.

  120 volts voltage is plugged in, you get the desired voltage at the contact bushes b, e.g. B. 160 volts (Figure 3). The connector housing consists of two parts e and d, which are connected by means of the contact bushes b. For this purpose, the bushes b each have two projections c, above which a thread is cut into the bush. The two sockets b and the contact pins? are fastened to the housing parts with nuts.

  In the cavity lies the transformer /, which is designed for this purpose in the manner of an autotransformer and is connected to the sockets and pins. Fig. 4 shows the construction of the transformer A-B, shows a section through the iron core, which in a known manner consists of a ring which is made up of many mutually insulated wire turns.

  The same wire cross-section is used for both windings.

  The plug-in transformer can be built for different currents and is suitable for both stepping up and stepping down. The transformer plug has a number of uses; you can use irons, floor lamps, radiators, etc. Like. Apparatus which do not have the voltage of the mains, make usable through its application. If the plants are overloaded and the mains voltage is too low, the transformer plug can be used to achieve a more beneficial effect on the connected apparatus.
